Job Description:

This apprentice will be focusing on the day to day Finance and Administrative activities of Bennett Architectural Aluminium Solutions Ltd (BAASL). The role is split into two different areas. These being:

  • Finance - Purchase Ledger/Sales Ledger/Job Costing Ledger
  • Other Administrative Duties - Admin/HR
Please see below the duties required within your role:

  • Receive invoices and check that they match orders and goods received
  • Checking costs on all GL invoices (overhead costs)
  • Data entry on the NAV system
  • Assist in the preparation of remittance advice to suppliers to inform them that their invoice has been paid
  • Ensure that records of invoice's details are kept up to date
  • Ensure that invoices and remittance advice are filed once they have been paid in (date order/by supplier both electronically and file)
  • Maintain the supplier database, as and when required
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements against NAV ledger balances, invoice approval requests to the purchasing branch and invoice query resolution
  • Maintain customer database
  • Send statements to customers
  • Enter budget information onto job costing ledger
  • Support colleagues with financial and general admin as required
  • Answering telephone calls/transferring calls/taking messages
  • Post incoming/outgoing
  • Keep hard copy and electronic files updated
  • Shred all confidential information when necessary
  • Update HR records - holiday/sick recording
