Key Responsibilities You will be heavily involved and play a big part in the continuing success of our manufacturing facility, its business support groups and relationships with external suppliers. You will start with specific placements and will gain hands-on experience.
You will also have the opportunity to receive hands on training and mentoring from the experts in the industry and apply the knowledge & skills gained to develop and build your ability to lead a team, manage delivery and drive performance.
Required Knowledge and Skills 5 GCSE’s at C and above (TBC following discussions with college)
Required experience: • Possess or be willing to work towards a Supply Chain or Logistics biased degree • Competent IT skills with ability to extend knowledge to Access data bases, CAD etc • Numerate – Supply Chain is very number oriented • Ability to problem solve and find solutions under time pressure • Good Social skills – liaise with other departments and service providers • Customer focussed – Supply Chain provides a service to production. • Self-motivated - Work on own initiative to produce results. • Team player – need to work as part of a team as well as an individual. • Planning skills – organised and structured to plan effectively • Able to conduct and participate at meetings at all levels.
