Business Improvement Techniques Level 2 Apprenticeship

Description

This course will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience and obtain a level 2 qualification in Business Improvement Techniques. During this course, you will closely work with your assessor to produce a portfolio containing numerous pieces of evidence of practical and theoretical work. There are two options for pathways, these include: Pathway A - Process Improvement and Pathway B - Quality Improvement.

What will you learn
  • Highfield Level 2 Diploma in Business Improvement Techniques

    This qualification is designed to support learners who deal, or intend to deal, with customers on a daily basis as part of their job role. It is applicable to a variety of work environments and covers topics such as promoting additional products and/or services to customers, carrying out customer service handovers and resolving customer service problems.

  • Highfield Functional Skills Qualification in English at Level 1

    This qualification is designed for learners who wish to develop their skills in English to help them gain the most from work, education and everyday life.

  • Highfield Functional Skills Qualification in Mathematics at Level 1

    This qualification is designed for learners who wish to develop their skills in mathematics to help from work, education and everyday life.


Duration: 12 Months

Course Units

The aim of this unit is to provide learners with the understanding needed when dealing with statutory regulations, guidance and approved safe working policies and how these are applied safely and responsibly in the workplace environment.
This unit covers the skills and knowledge needed to prove the competences required to work effectively as a team member within a continuous improvement environment. The learner will be required to establish and maintain productive working relationships whilst challenging fixed ideas, and to deal with disagreements in an amicable and constructive way.
This unit covers the skills and knowledge needed to prove the competences required for contributing to the introduction and use of information used in visual management systems. It involves identifying the appropriate parts of the process or work area that will have visual controls and identifying the key performance indicators which are to be displayed in the work area.
The aim of this unit is to provide learners with the understanding and skills needed when contributing to workplace organisations techniques.
This unit covers the skills and knowledge needed to prove the competences required for contributing to the carrying out of continuous improvement techniques (Kaizen) to the learners work activities. It involves contributing to the planning the Kaizen process for the agreed work area/activity, to include plan, do, check, act, and to use quantifiable objectives and targets for the improvement activity. The activities undertaken will include the identification of all forms of waste, and problems or conditions within the work area or activity where improvements can be made.
